Alpaca fibre is an almost hollow natural fibre that provides excellent thermal properties within an extremely lightweight garment, which gives high thermal capacity & durability.

It is referred to as the “Fibre of the Gods”.

Garments made of alpaca do not pill or loose their shape, and are considered to be one of the finest fibres in the world.

Alpaca texture is much stronger than merino sheep wool, its softness and silkiness is superior to angora and cashmere wools.

To the touch, alpaca fibre is soft and silky with a rich handle and sensual drape. This is especially applicable to Suri Alpacas, which has a very lustrous, silky shine.

Suri fibre was once only worn by Incan Royalty, but is now available to the general public.

Suri alpacas are under 10% of the world’s alpaca population, and Australia, with its regulated breeding techniques, is in a great position to further expand the suri cause.

Alpaca fibre comes in 22 natural colours, from pure white, through fawns, to a range of browns, greys and a true jet black.

It is hypo-allergenic, is non itchy and has virtually no lanolin.
